Who we are

Hi there! We are the Hickman family, a local farm in Florence, SC, and the hands and hearts behind Hickman Hollow Farms.

If there’s one thing you should know about us, it’s that we love sharing the little things that bring us joy, like a sunrise over the fields, the smell of fresh-cut flowers, or a meal made from food we’ve grown ourselves. Hickman Hollow Farms grew out of that love, and today it’s slowly growing into the kind of place we’ve dreamed of creating. A place where we get to invite others to experience the same simple pleasures that make our days feel full.

We are very passionate about supporting local farmers and small businesses, and that includes bringing awareness about the importance of buying local flowers.

We’re fairly new to farming, and that’s part of the excitement. We’re starting our first full year on the farm with open eyes and open hearts, learning everything we can along the way. Every sunrise brings a new lesson about the land, the weather, the animals, and even ourselves…we are soaking it all in. And listen, we are not afraid to get it wrong sometimes, because that’s how we grow.

For us, Hickman Hollow Farms is more than just a farm. It’s a reflection of who we are and what we value. It’s about creating a space where people can slow down, reconnect, and find joy in the simple things, the way we did when we first started dreaming about this life. Our faith reminds us to be grateful for the land we have and to care for it with love, and to always remember the blessing of being able to do this work together as a family.
